I really don't know.It seems like there could be,but they would be VERY similar to ours.

i guess it's possible, but in the sense that anything's possible. and if there are, i don't think we'll ever be able to travel to them or that we even should ('cause bad things like... Dust leakage happen when you screw with the universe).

Heres my theory on black holes- They are rips in the universe that open up to differant times-sometimes even differant dimensions.Whan a star explodes it is so powerful that it acually tears a hole in the universe.If somebody was to go through one,they would be transpored to a different time or dimension.What if a black hole swallowed the earth?

If a black whole swalloed the earth, we'd be screwed.

I don't really know if it's true or not, it's one of those things that always could be possible, but the chances are extremely thin.

You know that (proportionately), if the earth was a black hole, its mass would be compressed into the size of a marble? :shock:

Now what am I supposed to do with that little bit of wisdom?

I think there are parallel universes, *possibly* accessible through worm-holes and the like. But it'll be a long time before we ever figure out how (if its possible) to get there...

Some of this is too deep for me.

I don't think there are universes within our own like in HDM. I can't even fathom it. I don't think there's aliens either. And about the black holes, I did a report on them for my science class. I do think you would go somewhere else (?) once you got to the other side, but the pressure and gravity of the black hole would kill you. It'd suck you in like a piece of spaghetti and rip your atoms apart. Fun stuff!

I think there are an infinite number of paralell universes. All my personal hypothesisings/musings about the nature of the universe seem to point that way. I don't however beleive that you could travel between universes. As for black holes, they aren't really tunnels or breaks in space or anything like that, they're just a ccluster of atoms that have become so compressed that the gravitational field is large enough to 'suck' other matter into the central cluster, making it even denser and more massive (not in terms of size). If you get sucked into one, you would just end up getting squished onto the ball of the black hole's other contents.

I read that if u get sucked into a black hole, you get stretched out into spagetti and u can feel yourself being torn apart atom by atom. If you look behind you, you see the future of the universe.

I believe in type 1 parallel universe which is the easiest to belive in. (Bob is walking down the road to his apartment.

Bob #1 realizes that he realizes that he left his groceries at the checkout at the store. He starts to head back to the store when a he is attacked by a man in a dark alley seeking vengeance on a person that looks like Bob. Bob is killed. The end.

Bob #2 goes up to his apartment to find his wife in bed w/ another man. Bob is very upset and emotionally traumatized. He leaves to go live w/ a friend for a while, and discovers that he is bisexual.

Bob #3 drops his keys and when he squats down to pick them up, he sees a wallet filled w/ $100 bills and no identification. Bob is extemely excited seeing as he had been poor for a long time, and hurries up to his apartment to tell his wife, but he has given her the time to stuff the guy she's sleeping with in a closet before greeting Bob. Bob starts a very successful buisiness with the money, but never realizes that his wife is having an affair, and it is a long time before he finds out that he's bi.

I also believe in Type 2 universes because they have scientific evidence and it's cool anyway.

Well, if I remember correctly, quantum mechanics requires the existance of multiple universes, in order to work.

(note: I promiss I won't mention uniclusters...that's fiction :wink:

Basically there is a universe for every single different thing that could happen...an infinite number of universes obviously. Two universes could be identical except that a single photon wasn't emitted at the same angle from a star...not a noticable change. I think that if you went back in time, and you changed something (you would change something just by being there, even if nothing noticed you) you would just go off onto one of those other universe tracks like the way train tracks switch off in a switching yard, so you couldn't make yourself 'not exist' since it would be impossible to change your universe, you would just start traveling along a different universe rather than your native universe.

I think that it's possible to teleport between universes with quantum teleportation...like in Timeline. They have already succeded in teleporting a single photon, so quantum teleportation does work...
