Are the Mulefa Boring?
I happen to like the mulefa, but I see a great deal of controversy under various topics about what the general consensus of them is.

The Mulefa were a big part, boring or not, to the story and they were need how ever you look at it. Well it wounldn't be the Amber spyglass without them and it just shows about "people" in other worlds.[/b]

i didnt think they were boring at all! and i dont understand the people who do, you find out a lot about the HDM universe during the mulefa parts that cant be handled any other way

i just think they're cool because they have funky bone structure... and don't mind snakes.

See? All you people like the mulefa like me, I wonder where all the "haters" are. I thought they were really cool, and very important to the story. I'm trying to find the topic again that inspired this poll where no one liked the mulefa.

I'm sad to say that I am the first one to vote negatively.
If it helps, I haven't read the third one for a long while. It was either buy the first two soft cover, or the third one alone 'cause it was hard cover....I had to go for the first two. I remember though, I did learn alot, but it didn't seem all that exciting to me. I don't know if I even fully understand what the mulefa are anymore, it's been that long since I've read the book.
You don't really have to take into acount my vote, I'm just a very confused person who remembers little about the mulefa, which is why I put that they're boring....sorry.

I voted that they were boring, but I plead temporary insanity. I fall somewhere in between 'cause they bugged me but I don't hate them. So there.

In total i believe that the mulefa were an integral part of the story and I actually believe that these people are what PP wants the human race to become. Harmony

I like the Mulefas a lot, and of course they were very important for the story, but I think they didn't have to appear so much.
Sure it was interesting how Mary discovered their life but I would have preferred more Lyra-and-Will action.

I didn't hate them, but they were kind of annoying. I know the story couldn't have been the way it was without them, but still...it seemed to me that they were kind of thrown in there just to tie up the story...
Don't hate me for not liking them!

I agree with Sparrow. They mulefa seem to be very peaceful creatures that just seems to eat and live and have fun, and they lead very interesting lives.

Why do you think they are boring? They are peaceful, friendly, and a good, all-alround nice culture/race! What more can you ask if you get stranded in another world?
