The Happy Thread

Postby All_That_Jazz » Fri Apr 30, 2004 2:56 am

Oh dear, this is depressing....anyway, I was happy because yesterday it was 80 degrees (F) and windy, which was nice, and I didn't have to be at school until 12, so I went for a hike... then I only had two periods at school. There were other reasons I was happy, but I can no longer remember them...oh yeah, I got a 17 inch LCD moniter, new speakers, and a burner for my computer for about $372.

I'm a lot happier than I was twenty-four hours ago because I went to Aldbrickham Dogs last night and made a profit on the night, thanks partly to being flirty with a chap at the bar who gave good tips. And I've worked out how to watch DVDs on my 'puter, and the boards are back!

It's nice to hear you're feeling better today, Rosie.

I'm happy! It's the weekend and tonight I hope to get very inebriated. And yes, the forums are back! Hooray!

I suppose I ought to add that my copy of Northern Lights came back to me last night too, so I have the complete set for the first time since Christmas

Should I toddle along to the Aldbrickham Beer Festival tonight? It's stopped raining at last...

(I got drenched coming back from Waitrose)

I'm happy because I got 19/20 in my creative writing homework. :P
Also happy because it's bank holiday, so I don't have do my next English homework until Monday.
Happy because I set fire to a Monster Munch today as a protest.
Happy because the cricket season is beginning.
Happy because the boards are back up.
Happy because I was able to win an unofficial debate today about how rubbish The All Star Comedy Show was.
Happy because of Derren Brown on tonight.
Happy because I've made some pretty important decisions, and I'm satisfied about them.
Happy because my copy of Harvest Moon (finally) arrived today.

Happy because I'm happy.

They had all those great comedians and it was still their crap, Im guessing they just payed them all a fortune and had some idiots write it. I can't believe you could have David Walliams, Matt Lucas and Alan Partridge in one place and it not be funny.

It was written by Rieves and Mortimer.
It seemed to me like it was more of Hey, look at all these cool people we've got on this show than Hey, look how funny this show is
They just absaloutly rinsed jokesover and over that weren't funny to begin with.
A disgrace to British comedy.
When in doubt, castle.

I'm happy because of...
- the temporary forums
- the weather, though I don't usually like direct sunlight
- my new capris (and new clothing almost never makes me happy)
- the fact that my pre-calc class is learning stuff that I already know, so I get to sit in the back of class and read like I used to in seventh grade
- my trebuchet, which is has only a bit of string and a few hours of glue-drying time before I can start launching rocks at my neighbors
- AIM (again)
- my ACT score; while not being perfect, I beat three of the four insanely smart people in my grade and tied the other
- the fact that I just finished The Silmarillion, which feels like some huge achievement somehow
- Oh yes, and the fact that it's Friday night. Always a good thing.

Aah yes, tis tricky, even though tis so much shorter than LOTR, it took me about double the time to read.

I'm quite happy because the stupid snowy weather is gone and it's 80' F and windy again...perfect. Also I'm happy because I'm tired, (I got home at 5:00 this morning) and it's hard for me to feel any other emotion when I'm very tired. :D

I'm happy because it's cold (well, 50s, but cold enough for me) out, I had lasagna for dinner, and because I finished my trebuchet this morning, and it launches eggs and Koosh balls about 20 feet, which is far enough to look good but small enough that I can launch in the classroom, and not have to take pictures for my presentation tomorrow.

Wow, I'm gone for a week and the whole world comes crashing down. Goodness, what happened?

Anyways I happy becasue finals are over, and I'm back home with real food and my cat.
Its sunny, I just got done cleaning my room, I passed math and I never have to take another math class again, as long as I live.
And I get to see my best friend tomorrow for the first time in 6 months!

I'm happy because I have food in my stomach, a roof over my head, and clothes on my back.

I'm happy because the hockey-tournement-long-weekend is finally over, I no longer have to be woken up at 8am by dodgy music blaring out from the hockey pitch and continuing for the rest of the day, nor the drunken baffoons outside my window. Peace at last.
