Got my (signed) copy. I haven't started it yet, though. Did anyone else rush out to buy it?

"o stars, isn't it from you that the lover's desire for the face
of his beloved arises? doesn't his secret insight
into her pure features come from the pure constellations?"

Yes indeedy. I had an enjoyable, fifteen second long conversation with him. I also got him to sign my first edition TAS.</boast>

He said "Oh, is this a first edition?" (referring to TAS). I said "Yes, it is". He said "If you had the first edition of NL then you'd be able to retire".

Meh, fifteen seconds was an exaggeration.

A signed first edition of TAS would still fetch a grand or two, I reckon.
Q: If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God tell you when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Pullman: Well, I'm retiring, would you like to take it on ?
