I don't think its strange in the sense that if you were totally alone, and you had a sense of knowingness that no one was around you , then you would go and swim naked.

I think that makes perfect sense.

So much sense I do it myself.

I never found Will swimming strange. Shame to get your clothes all wet when you can do without them.

I know this is meant to be a fun thread, but does no-one else think the whole naked thing (Lyra and Roger swimming naked in Oxford, Will in Cittagazze etc..) is just a play on the whole Adam and Eve story? You know, the whole "shame of being naked" thing? Thats the first thing I thought of.

Well, PP obviously uses that to further his points, and I certainly think that that's an aspect of the "naked thing," but as you pointed out, this thread is really more tongue-in-cheek than serious.

But yeah, Genesis is written all over that story.
