i forgive her because at the end of the day no matter how cruel she was she helped her daughter and even loved her.

i think i may have already voted but i'd like to point out that marisa coulter protected lyra from the church when she found out about the prophecy. she wasn't lying about that. why else would she live in a cave in the mountains, roughing it, in hiding? of course there were other things going round in her twisted brain, because she is after all a very selfish woman, but this is one of the things that makes me believe she wasn't entirely evil.

i think she would have wanted to be known as evel, so thats what i voted, she may have acted as good at the end but im sure her intentions were as evil as ever
