E3 2011

Postby Darragh » Tue Jun 07, 2011 11:00 am

Mostly finished, hopefully we get some more surprises over the few roundtables. My highlights? Battlefield 3 looks incredible. Uncharted 3 is jaw dropping. 3DS stuff has me interested. Vita looks like a steal at 250 when games come out. I really need another E3 to get on board with Wii U.

great post! too much info so i've kind of been ignoring it all and waiting for news to leak down to me.

i like the idea of silent hill rereleases, only played the first one with my friend way back when and just remember the great time we had sh!tting ourselves.
i love me some far cry but fc2 was largely unplayable and i stopped after a few hours, so i'll be following fc3 developments carefully...
also love the hitman series but i didn't get what this "new direction" is from the trailer...
BF3 is gonna knock it right out of the park and leave the (sadly) stagnating CoD franchise reeling. comparing gameplay vids is almost embarrassing
There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all

Yeah the visuals in Battlefield 3 are incredible.

Mass Effect 3 is probably what I'm looking forward to most. Sadly there were few surprises outside of PS Vita and Nintendo. The Kinect stuff is horrible, Star Wars Kinect is just horribad.

Remembers his BF1942 days.

Tempted by Battlefield 3.

Looking mainly for ME3 and Skyrim. The video for the latter made me come a little inside.

I'm excited for Luigi's Mansion 2. I love the original. The WiiU looks cool too. I'll probably buy it when it comes out.

I was impressed with BF3, but I'm inclined to steer clear of it, with the way EA have been acting lately.

I've heard good reports about this though

Thankfully they actually listened to people about the recent pre-order dlc stuff. Well pre order dlc is still BS but at least this way everyone will get the stuff.

I saw that alright, a surprising little adjustment to make. They've screwed up over Steam as well, wonder will they do anything over that
